Majors

1. Psychology involves the scientific study of human or animal mental functions and behaviors. Psychologists rely on symbolic interpretation and critical analysis to study the way humans and animals act, feel, think, and learn.

2. Sociology is a social science that uses methods of investigation and analysis to develop and clarify a body of knowledge on human social activity. Sociology majors learn how to study people and the roles they play in society, both as individuals and in groups.

3.Theater Design and Stagecraft teaches students how to make sets, costumes, lights, and sound all work together in a theatrical production.

Colleges

1. University of California: San Diego is in a suburban setting in a large town. It is a regionally accredited four-year public university. The university is located in La Jolla, California.

2. San Diego State University is a public four-year university, with 31% of its applicants admitted. The university offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral. It has a total number of 29,481undergrads.

3. American Academy of Art is a four-year college in Chicago, Illinois. The college both bachelor's and master's degrees.

Tips and Hints!!

1. There are many types of transformations. What helped me remember was always having the parent graph in the back of my head. For example, the graph f(x)= sin (x-2) is gonna be similar to the parent graph f(x)= sin x. In the case of f(x)= sin (x-2) however, the graph is shifted 2 units to the RIGHT because you are subtracting something from the input. If the function was f(x)= sin (x+2) on the other hand, the graph would be shifted to the LEFT 2 units.

When you have a number as the coefficient of x, such as f(x)= sin 2x, the "tempo" of the graph is doubled.

2. How I remembered all the facts from trig. is that i simply re-write my notes. For some reason it seems to help me memorize some stuff I would have otherwise forgot. Another thing I did to memorize facts from trig. was to practice problems on my own with out the help of anyone, unless I completely didn't understand it.

3. Something that confuses me about trig. are things my teacher didn't get to teach us, like finding an arc length.

Funções pares e ímpares

Even Functions

The mathematical definition of an even function is f(-x)= f(x). An even function is a function whose graph is symmetrical in respect to the y-axis. When graphed, the plot in the first quadrant is mirrored by the second quadrant. More over, the plot in the third quadrant is the mirror image of the fourth quadrant. In addition, even functions have even exponents.

Odd Functions

The mathematical definition of an odd function is f(x)= -f(x). An odd function is considered anti-symmetric and is only symmetric about the origin. An odd function has rotational symmetry.
